Larry Graham is one of the top bassists ever. He invented the slap technique when he was with Sly and the Family Stione before venturing off to form Graham Central Station and going solo. He's now working with Prince..

If he's working for that outfit, he's going to be dressing in a cheerleader uniform.

You mean you don't know the names of the six already? <crossthread>

(Just kidding, Mizzou. Great call on Sullivan.)

Todd Adams is going from Orlando to San Diego to be, I think the title will be sports editor. Without "executive" in front of it. Handle the day-by-day stuff. Good get for San Diego, which is also talking to a couple of quality reporters.

I am hardly unbiased -- Todd M. Adams and Larry D. Graham are very close friends of mine -- but for all the recent questions about the direction of the U-T, it has hired two very able, intelligent and passionate people to lead its sports department.

Don't know Todd but i do know Larry. Really liked working with him and am quite happy for him and the success he's attained. If he had a position for a broken-down old guy, I'd apply.

Todd is a great hire. Now he just has to replace his two best writers.

Congrats on adding the staff. Sounds like six, or close to it.

    Multimedia/broadcast is only a two-year contract?
