That's funny, USC got hit with fairly significant penalties for an offense that, in context, is much more insignificant. I don't remember seeing images of students overturning cars on Figueroa.

In USC's defense, it was a nice day and they were all at the beach.

We know all of this now, but when the allegations were first made Syracuse actually did less than what PSU did in 1998. Penn State involved the police and child services and there was a real investigation which found that nothing criminal had taken place. When Syracuse first heard about this, no one outside of the administration ever heard about it. Syracuse didn't even talk to the witnesses.

Now, what happened at PSU in 2001 is a different story, but one that sounds a lot more like the story that happened at Syracuse. The only difference is that Sandusky turned out to be a bigger creep than Fine did. But at the time, nobody at Syracuse could have known that.

Keep telling yourself that these situations are similar, as are the Penn State and UCF situations, if that makes you sleep better in your Nittany Lion binky and your "We Are ... Pissed Off" T-shirt.

The AD at the time, Mike Garrett, said something about the NCAA being envious of the Trojans. He was shitcanned from his position shortly thereafter.

Don't bother to argue a point. Just take the easy way out and ridicule me.

And by the way, I'll be wearing one of these shirts.

Let's put aside the doubts many of us may have about your ability to get into an Ivy League school and assume for the moment you did go to Brown. That doesn't mean you aren't a Penn State fanboy.

You need to work on your reading comprehension. Maybe that's what happened when you skipped over the wholes holes in the Freeh report.

I never said I went to Brown. It's a Penn State t-shirt referencing the fact that both Joe Paterno and Bill O'Brien are Brown grads.

In case you still don't understand, the second shirt is also a reference to Penn State.

Neither generous philanthropy nor a headcount of Fulbrights excludes a "football culture problem."

And in case you don't understand, some things are inexcusable. Somewhere right around the top of the list is covering up for a pedophile to avoid tarnishing the image of a football program. It's like a man punching a woman in the face repeatedly and then trying to explain how she started it. Quit trying to explain it all. Recognize the situation for what it is and shut the f up already. No explanation will make anything better.
