    Responsibilities:

    - Make CBSSports.com a destination for breaking news and information.

    - Use of social media to help build audience of author and sport.

    - Year-round coverage of College Football.

    - File frequent blogs, feature stories, news reports.

    - Frequent travel

    - Regular season game coverage

    - On-site coverage of selected bowl and BCS games.

    - Video reports, both onsite and call-in.



    Ideal candidate:

    - Significant media industry and interactive experience.

    - Strong strategic planning skills and the ability to execute with Editorial team.

    - Bold style with a unique vision which translates into content that engages the consumer and increases site traffic.

    - Journalistic innovation and initiative to discover new ways to engage users.

    - Must possess exemplary judgment and decision-making skills.

    - Innovative individual; possesses vision across online/multimedia.

    - Uncomfortable with the status quo; always looking to improve.

    None of these links work for me in Firefox. It tells me my browser has cookies disabled. My browser does indeed have cookies enabled. None work in a cookies-enabled Safari, either. None work in a cookies-enabled Chrome. Perhaps the site doesn't like Mac OS X Mountain Lion. Or perhaps it's (chosen deity)'s way of saying I'll never get this job. Most likely, knowing Mountain Lion has been out for two weeks and my career isn't much (relatively) older, it's both. I hope those interested and qualified can access the link.

    This has got to be a tough job to find someone for... You need someone who has the ability to break news across the country. ESPN has shown many times that just because a guy is a tremendous beat writer, that doesn't necessarily translate into being able to break national news.
