USC football season opener-Sat., Sept. 1st vs. Hawaii, L.A. Coliseum, 4:30 p.m.

    Experienced sports reporter offering to cover AP preseason No. 1-ranked USC in its season opener vs. Hawaii, Sept. 1st vs. Hawaii. Opening kickoff scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
    I would need help securing credentials and a parking pass - hopefully that's OK.
    I have covered plenty of NCAA athletics in football, basketball and baseball during each of the past six years and I have 10 years of experience overall.

    I live in northern Orange County, about 35 miles east of Los Angeles, or about an hour's drive. I have covered one game in Los Angeles - Kings season opener in 2009 for NHL.com.
