Just booked a trip to Vegas. It never loses its luster, hitting that "submit" button to complete the booking. Will be my first time there for an NFL weekend. Excitement level is off the charts. Just love Vegas. That's all.

Dear Versatile,

That thing has been out of me since May, but I spend a good bit of time hunched over while feeding him. My furniture is too deep (or I'm too short), so I can't just sit back and easily feed him. I need to bring the rocker back out into the living room. It was just right.

Dear newspaper,

Some days part of my job entails going some place no one wants to go. Talking to people no one wants to talk to. Asking questions no one wants to ask, but the answers are something many want to know.
There are times when these tasks are not undertaken for some noble purpose or in pursuit of the greater good, but simply to satisfy the curiosity of the general public, maybe quell some rumors (though more often than not, they lead to more wild speculation) and (ultimately) sell papers.
It's after days like these - days where I feel I have been nothing but a unwelcome pest intruding into personal matters that really are private - that it's hard to justify my job.
Thank goodness for beer. Cold, soothing, copious amounts of beer.

Better days ahead, the sun'll come out tomorrow ...
