    NOTE CONTACT CHANGES AT BOTTOM

GameTimePA.com is seeking an experienced multiplatform journalist to provide comprehensive coverage, primarily digital, of Lancaster County high school sports.

This is a full-time position with benefits. The likelihood is that it will be based in Lancaster County.

Candidates should have a digital-first mentality, strong social-media skills and video experience. Experience with online content management preferred.

This journalist will have responsibility for coverage of the approximately 20 high schools in Lancaster County, focusing on the larger schools and the schools that compete in the Lancaster-Lebanon League. While coverage will include some game stories, the primary focus will be on using digital-first tools (blogs, videos, live chats, social media) to cover Lancaster County.

The use of social media and other digital platforms by this journalist will not be a one-way street. This position calls for regular interaction with the public – answering questions, interacting with readers and “recruiting” individuals to feed us the information that will help us expand our offerings and reach.

Person will help us build and coordinate a network of individuals to provide timely scoring updates and final scores for our live multiplatform scoreboard.

Person will also be an aggressive marketer of his or her own work, promoting content across digital platforms and finding ways each week to get information in front of the audience that wants to see it.

At times, this person will serve as a general-assignment reporter, as needed and directed, for the Lebanon Daily News. But the primary focus during the school year will be providing our expanding GameTimePA.com audience with the best and most immediate coverage of Lancaster County varsity high school sports.

Candidates should contact GameTimePA Editor Lyzz Jones at ejones@Ydr.com or Lebanon Daily News Sports Editor Mike Givler at mikegivler@ldnews.com.
