    Talking to younger sports fans I know, I think that steroids are going to be like gay marriage, in that a generational divide is occurring.

    Young people - and this is somewhat anecdotal - don't seem to care. Eventually, they will be the ones voting.

    I agree with you a 100%. I also think in coming years we are going laugh at the steroid outrage.

    As well we should. Like steroids or not, they were (are) a part of the game. Sosa and McGwire are the main reason many people got over the World Series-killing strike and thus a big part of that era. To leave them out is insane.

    We get it. You're insanely proud to play a part in protecting the Hall of Fame from the scourge of steroid users. We wouldn't want to sully the names of Ty Cobb or Gaylord Perry by having them associated with the likes of Barry Bonds.
