If the Republican primary taught us anything, it's that anyone self-identifying as a Republican must adopt extreme and strident ideologies...
... or be politically purged, plain and simple.
    Ideological conformity and homogeneity.
Governor Tubby chose not to toe that line a few months back.
So you watch the shunning come next. We've already seen a little of it.

Once the M.N. shuffles off the scene, the GOP can concentrate on their economic message, which essentially is, "The Government is Not Going to Do Anything for YOU. The Government Cannot Afford to do anything for YOU because we have to send more tax cuts upstairs to the Good People.
You know, like ME. The True Americans. The Patriots. The Job Creators. The Future of American Society depends on THEM. If you elect ME to run the government I am going to take everything away from YOU, so I can send it to THEM. This is really all for the best for America."

Chris Christie is absolutely the worst possible guy the GOP could possibly choose to explain to voters why everything must be taken away from THEM and sent upstairs to him and the Good People.

Pretty much like Charlie Weis explaining to you why he needs to eat the final four cheeseburgers in the bag while you and your kids go hungry.

At least Ryan has the cadaverous anorexic look which helps in selling the idea that austerity is good for you.

Typical of your posts - little protein, lot of bombast, more than a whiff of arrogance.
You're quick to sense any disturbance in the force so long as it's not from the left.
I know there's a left-wing zeal rampant on this forum, but enough is enough.
As the patron saint of the Politics Board would say, ''Show your work.''

Classic case of the GOP cutting off its nose to spite its face.

You think Lardbag Christie is the guy the GOP wants delivering the message to the citizens that THEY are going to have to get by with less?

Because that is, in fact, their message.

Google up a picture of Charlie Weis. What would you tell that guy if he told you he was taking the last four cheesburgers?

A lot of Americans will identify with Christie, no doubt.

So you're saying there might be someone for whom this Herculean task is, dare I suggest it, suited? Because, man, that's a tough message to sell.

As I noted, at least Ryan LOOKS the part -- a cadaverous vaguely malnourished guy.

Like your wizened withering old grandpa telling you what it was like to 'go without' in the Depression.

Christie doesn't look like he's "gone without" since the day Mickey D's ran out of Special Sauce for the Big Macs.
