    Dude is dead according to CNN. A body was removed from the cabin; sources say it's Dorner.

    If they have a SWAT team (and most do), then they have a designated marksman who plays a sniper role.

    San Bernardino county has a population greater than 14 states.. They probably have snipers.

    I just read something (and now I cannot recall where) that talked about the increase in police militarization since 9/11. Something like 90 percent of cities with populations 50,000+ have at least one SWAT team.
