Anybody who thinks there was any chance they'd take this guy alive is an idiot. If Dorner didn't off himself he was going to die in a firefight whether he wanted to not. And I don't blame the cops one bit.

I just hate how everything these days turns into a conspiracy.

Bingo!!! My cousin was the deputy chief of a major metropolitan fire department and after 9/11 Homeland Security couldn't give away money fast enough. It was like a shopping spree for public agencies; Helicoptor? Boats? Just call it security related.

And lots of Chevy Suburbans that ended up being used by Mayors, Police Chiefs, and Fire Chiefs as their personal car.

You mean Dorner didn't use another body, light the fire as a diversion and slip out the back?

Anderson Cooper just interviewed a former LAPD cop who "understood" Dorner's "anger".

Anyone else think it's odd how the media wants to sympathize with this guy?

Does the media really want to "sympathize" with the guy?

Or is it just that the LAPD's spotty history raises questions?

Any reason to sympathize with Dorner ended when he killed a cop's daughter to get back at the cop. That was cowardly vengeance all the way.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Dorner was right about his training officer, and that the LAPD covered it up and railroaded Dorner. After all, LAPD has a certain history for that kind of stuff. But for Dorner to execute Quan's daughter and her fiance as his revenge against Quan? ... Man, that is cold-blooded and cowardly to the core.

I"m sure it won't be long before certain people are saying the cops he killed got what they deserved.
