The gap's gone to the dogs.

    9-0 good guys after 6.

Does it ever happen where an umpire tells a player who was HBP he can't go to first because he didn't try to get out of the way?

    Yes.

It happened during Drysdale's 58 inning scoreless streak in '68. He hit Dick Dietz with the bases loaded, but Harry Wendelstedt ruled Dietz didn't try to get out of the way, and Dietz ended up flying out.

Nothing at all happening in Boston. Other than Clay Buchholz's pitch count edging ever higher.

Of course, it's against the Rays, so no surprise there. They do nothing a couple times a season, it seems.

FOr some reason the channels that show Dodgers and Angels here are the only two on my cable that don't work?

Up to 11 strikeouts and 99 pitches, too. Doesn't look like anyone is going in the 'pen, either. Looks like Farrell will let Buchholz finish this one.

    Well, so much for that.

There is officially, now, a gap.

I believe it's now safe to say the Braves will win 140 games this year.

No wonder the Red Sox and Yankees are always on TBS, now that the Braves have clinched the NL East.

A better question: If a right-handed batter gets hit by a pitch from a left-handed pitcher, is that considered an "oppo boppo"?
