And one of the dead is reported to be an 8-year-old child.

That's awful. Makes you really question how safe you really are these days. While Congress battles to pass gun legislation to stop tragedies like Sandy Hook, here we are today with just another terrorist attack.

EDIT: From what I last heard, too, Boston hospitals have already performed 30+ amputations thus far today.

Race always used to start at noon. Now it goes off in stages from 9 (wheelchairs) to about 10:45 a.m.

It's a minor miracle that only two people were killed in this.

There goes the President again. No mention of "terrorism" in his address. No lesson learned from Benghazi.

I've been in the car listening to the radio on this, CNN on XM radio, and the only thing that has been said that is true so far is "We have no intelligence on this". Wolf is an absolute joke. He actually asked a runner who was near the explosion if he planned on running in next year's marathon. The lack of intelligence is frightening.

Would it make a difference if he said it or not? Does it change the reality of the situation? Would you feel better if we invaded Iraq again?

Could we PLEASE keep all the political bullshit off this thread? Please? With sugar on top?

Why does he have to say the word terrorism? We all know it was terrorism. What does him saying it have to do with anything?

Also, in the event that we do capture the person at fault (doubtful), how do we proceed with giving him a fair trial? It might be tough to find an impartial jury with all the media coverage.

Thanks. My friend who has done Boston about 15 times normally runs right about four hours but today was in the last wave off the starting line and was at mile 24.
