Finally got around to seeing 42 on Tuesday. It was good, but could have been significantly better.

I thought it sucked. I thought it really sucked. I can pick out like two worthwhile scenes. Otherwise, it was homogenated crap. Like getting your history from a McDonald's Happy Meal.

We watched Seven Psychopaths last night. I really want to like this movie, but ultimately it falls short...primarily due to a draggy last half of the movie. There were definitely some good moments of black humor throughout, but it just grinds to a halt in the desert.

My wife did not like it. She felt the violence was way over the top.

Broken City was just okay. In a really strong cast, Jeffrey Wright easily turned in the best performance as the police chief. Plus, it is always nice to see Griffin Dunne.

Saw Iron Man 3 on Thursday (thought it was a mistake the theater had it at 9 pm on Thursday, but they did). Overall I didn't hate it, but without spoiling anything, a thing or two from the original comic storyline were missing - two main things anyway. I didn't even stay for the after credits and I didn't miss much.

  6. Iron Man 3 last night...Meh. Better than 2, not nearly as good as 1. I don't have any knowledge of the comics but I thought it was a colossal waste of Ben Kingsley.

Just got in a little while ago from seeing Iron Man 3. I agree that it was better than the second one, but not quite as good as the first.

I was wrong in my guess on the twist that had people ticked off, though they did drop a hint early on in the movie. I may be a comic book geek, but I've never been a huge Iron Man fan in the books, so it really didn't bother me much.

It has some excellent action sequences and some very funny moments. Downey is excellent as always and I think they made better use of Don Cheadle this time.

I thought it was a little too long and I think the final battle was a bit of a cheat, though at least they did set it up properly.

I thought the after-credit scene was worth it, but damn waiting so long gets annoying.

Wow, was this a trip back in time. A young Christian Bale was the bigoted, rich boy killer, and he was so baby faced! Jeffery Wright was hilarious in this, yet when the moment called for it he was terrifying. Busta Rhymes was the comic relief, and this was probably why he was allowed to soil my "Halloween" franchise.

    Sam Jackson plays himself.

I got to thinking, Sam Jackson plays Nick Fury as Shaft with an eyepatch. Therefore, at some point in "Avengers 2" he should inform Scarlet Johansson that "it's my duty to please that booty."

    That would make my 2015.

Why did I watch "Shaft"? Because Netflix happens when you're unemployed.

    End of Watch. Quite gripping.

I couldn't stop thinking the movie was a big middle finger to Iron Man fanboys, hah (it wasn't, but still). The constant pokes of Iron Patriot not being as badass as War Machine (which I agree), the twist, and Tony not getting extremis. I need to watch Iron Man 2 again to see if it 3 is better or not.

Saw Life of Pi on PPV last night. It was great. Better than Argo, which I thought was predictable. Ang Lee did a better job than Speilberg and Affleck.

I totally thought it would be a preachy kids movie, it was not. It's truly a wonderful movie and in the end you still wonder what really happened.

    See it.

Went to see Pain and Gain. One of the worst movies I've ever watched in a theater. Made about 1 1/2 hours, walked out and did not look back.
Did not even wonder about ending because I am not even sure there could be one.
