Dortmund's wage bill 68 million pounds about the same as Villa, Everton, Sunderland and Newcastle. Significantly less than Spurs.

It will be their fifth Premier League season. The previous four have all ended in relegation. But the league will be better for having Ian Holloway in it again.

His plan of starting a season slowly will feel right at home at Everton.

Michael Owen's twitter today mentioned that Everton apparently approached Martinez last week. So it very well could happen.

Bill Kenwright taking the safe, cost-effective route again. It could work out, but it sounds much more like a return to the bad old days under Walter Smith.

I really wish the US Open Cup had games televised. I watched Sporting KC's 2-0 win against Des Moines online. KC plays Orlando, its USL affiliate, next.

Yesterday was wild. Charleston and Orlando provided upsets, and there were some other barnburners. Salt Lake beat Atlanta Silverbacks in overtime, and DC United won on PKs after being reduced to nine men.

Definitely interested in seeing how Seattle does at Tampa Bay tonight.

I'm hoping maybe Fox Sports, BeIn or Gol will pick this up next year after NBC takes up EPL and they need to fill space. I know it's not exactly the same season, but matches are matches.
I hope one of the PDL teams moves on...always fun to see the amateurs advance.
