I was so incredibly disappointed with the ending and I didn't think that was possible to be even more disappointed in this show. What a terrible show this turned out to be.

Once again feeling validated that I gave up after last season. The only parts of season 2 I've seen were the 30 seconds or so that showed up on my DVR when I'd record Mad Men each week.

Same here. Some of my friends still loved the show even as it was circling the drain. I couldn't convince any of them to stop watching.

I'm so glad it's over, and it looks like it's not coming back.

I did like the resolution after the first 15 minutes. I liked that last scene with the family. It was cheesy, but I liked it.

Zap2It seems to know it's already been renewed for Season 3:

Don't shows usually get renewed before their finale airs? Maybe it comes back, but it doesn't seem like AMC is in a rush.
I figured out the major problem with the show. While the performances of the actors are very grounded, organic and real, the plot twists are ultra-gimmicky, convenient and fantastical.
Of course: Rosie worked on the Richmond campaign (but not enough for the aide to recognize her), and she had her camera out and was there at a clandestine meeting while she was "saying goodbye to Seattle," the aunt was dating the developer and was with him when the phone call came (he won't leave his wife for her, but he'll bring her along to discuss what to do with girl who overheard the deal), Gwen attended the casino grand opening with her dad and a picture was placed at eye level where Holder and Linden could see it, and of course the aunt "suddenly" realizes it was her niece that was in the trunk (must be a lot of girls found in trunks of cars in ponds in Seattle). And I really found it hard to track how a shooting at City Hall on election night could stay quiet for half a day.

Finally an ending that was satisfying, honest and completely plausible..

Just read that on CNN. Good move by AMC.

  10. Not to mention long overdue. Next time, don't screw with your audience.

Anybody else turn in for one of our favorite train wrecks?

It came back tonight and I'm cautiously optimistic. The ending gave me chills. I'm going to try it again.

Sometimes someone will say they loved a show or a book or a film and I'll go, WTF? What are you smoking?

Sadly, now the shoe is on the other foot. I just watched the first two seasons and I thought The Killing was incredible. Some of the best acting, beautifully shot and really, really gripping.

My only defense is that I watched every episode in a month-long burst, and didn't have to deal with the whole long drawn-out thing.
