Not to mention two of San Antonio's four titles came against New York and New Jersey.

It might be more split than you think.

Billips was a Celtic. Kareem was a Buck. Moses was a Rocket. Hamilton and Wallace were Wizards. Erving was a Net. Allen was a Sonic.

The nature of the NBA hasn't changed since it was formed after WWII. Dominant superstars equal multiple championships. The only difference is, before Magic and Larry came along, the most dominant players were always centers, and since then, they haven't always been. Also, you need more than one of 'em to win. Russell's "supporting cast" was a bevy of Hall of Famers. Magic and Kareem needed each other, etc., etc.

DanOregon specified Stern's tenure and I noted that 2004 Detroit was not an organically-made team.

Allen wasn't drafted by Seattle, he was part of the Payton trade. I think he was drafted by Minnesota then he was swapped to Milwaukee on draft night for, Stephon Marbury?

Well, the refs already are opening themselves for questions. Wade barrels down the lane, slams into a stationary Duncan as he's passing the ball. Refs rule foul on Duncan and then claim Wade was shooting and give him two FTs.

And now, because of that awful call earlier, Duncan has picked up his second foul instead of his first.
