Will host one-hour, nightly news show on ESPN2 beginning later this year:

What's the over-under on how long THIS lasts?

Maybe he's learned his lesson. I doubt it, but maybe.

I doubt it too... He might be on his best behavior initially, but I'll bet that within a few weeks he'll be in his comfort zone, and will be brow-beating producers and making interns cry.

One more reason not to watch that bloated, self-serving channel.

According to SI's Richard Deitsch on Twitter, the show will be called "Olbermann" and will debut Aug. 26 at 11 p.m. ET:

Ratings are down 20 percent across the board on both ESPN TV and radio from a year ago and the answer is to rehire this guy?

Two sinking ships deserving of one another.

So he's going to compete with SportsCenter?

    I don't get it.

The hell with that ... he's going to be competing against Fox Sports Live on Fox Sports 1.

I wouldn't regard ESPN as a sinking ship, as it's about the biggest cash cow Disney has. I agree with TheHacker as to why Olbermann was hired and the time spot he got. He's going up against those two Canadian Patrick-Olbermann kindofalikes, isn't he?
I'll watch the show sometime in its first week. No promises after that. Keith doesn't wear well with me, meaning I could have been one of his employers.
