Well then you better start digging. :)
I just finished the episode. Man, I REALLY want to see that scene between Hank and Jesse. I hope it goes on for 30 minutes next week. No lie.
As for who painted the walls, my guess is it's either the aforementioned generic bad guys, Hank in a fit of rage when Walt bails or Walt himself in a fit of rage before he leaves.
I've got to imagine Jesse's tipping point would either be 1.) finding out Walt watched his GF die and did nothing to stop it, 2.) finding out Walt poisioned the kid or 3.) finding out, conclusively, that Walt killed Mike.
I don't think he gives Hank anything useful next week, simply because of their history but I imagine he will eventually turn as his motivations were never truly evil in this series. He was just a f*ck up who had nothing better to do than cook meth.

What are the chances Walt Jr. cashes that lottery ticket?

  3. Of those three possibilities, I think the only one Hank knows about is the disappearance of Mike and I don't think he has any definitive proof that Walt did that. I'm not sure what Hank knows about Walt that he could use with Jessie to turn him against Walt except for the fact that he can probably pick up on how distant and effed up Jessie now is.

I think it's pretty clear that Walt is going to go on the lam here and the logical assumption based on what we know is that Jessie turns on him and he gets the hell out of dodge. I still like the theory that Lydia's people decide that the product isn't good enough and they force Jessie to be their cook and Walt returns from exile to save Jessie, going down in a blaze as he tries to gain some sort of redemption.

I was just thinking about that.

  5. The line that made me howl was Walt saying dismissively to Saul "I'll send you to Belize"

Hadn't thought about it til Steak brought it up, but it would be a hilarious twist if Walt hit the lottery jackpot with the GPS coordinates.

Or even just hit it for $25 or something.

My comment is a week late, but the scene with Walt and Hank in the garage was just absolutely breathtaking.

Hank: I don't even know who I'm looking at anymore.

Walt: If that's true, you really don't know who I am, then I'd suggest that you tread carefully.

Holy fucking shit. Instead of backing down, Walt threatens Hank. And the look on Hank's face is just pure hatred. Amazing TV.

And to think, AMC initially didn't want Cranston. Vince basically had to twist a bunch of arms to get his way on that one ... and now all the AMC suits are tripping over themselves to kiss his ass.

Agreed. He was so good as the fidgety, incompetent dad in Malcom in the Middle. Not a lot of actors could pull off both roles so well.

I think there are a lot of actors with that kind of range - they just rarely get the opportunity to show it IMO. They get more opportunity in stage work but there is so much money at stake in film and TV that getting someone to take a chance is difficult.
