ESPN hiring NFL beat writers

I don't see how that can be the case, Mizzou. None of the other beat writers has the platform to push their own stories like that. There will always be something "created" by the media, I guess, because someone might choose to ask a question about a particular topic. The fact that ESPN has reporters following up on ESPN-created topics is the part I'm talking about.

Was it an ESPN reporter who asked Kaepernick that question? Plenty of reporters follow up on something like that because it's an easy question.

It's Adam Teicher to ESPN for the Chiefs beat, as confirmed by Teicher via Twiiter:

Had met him before at the Mizzou pro day (Blaine Gabbert), but actually talked to him at length at the Combine this past February. He is a really nice guy and a damn good reporter. ESPN again makes a really good hire.

I had heard Rothstein to Lions. Second Recruiting Nation beat writer to leave for the nearby NFL beat after DiRocco.

That should tell you a bit of the story right there...

Ed Sherman talks with some of those who jumped ship from newspapers to take these jobs.

Legwold: “(The closing of the Rocky Mountain News) definitely affected me. I love newspapers. It’s been my whole adult life. If a newspaper that good closed, it really is a testament to what’s going on within the industry. I had to think of my family. When I was offered the ESPN job, it really was an easy decision.”

Heard Mike Triplett is leaving the Times Picayune to take the Saints job. So I guess there's an opening in New Orleans now?
