RIP Denny Tauscher

    Father of former Packer Mark Tauscher who was a sportswriter in Marshfield, Wis.

    He was 69 but you'd have never guessed that. His main job was covering preps but he also did a weekly column on the Packers and covered all the home games and the occasional road game that was drivable.

    If you've been in the Lambeau Field press box over the past 15 years you probably know what a great guy he was.

    Damn. Met and knew him in passing for a football season 15 years ago just as his son was getting ready for the NFL. He was a nice guy. Marshfield actually had a local sports staff back then before Gannett gutted the place and Denny was one of their key stringers.
