I had the EXACT same thought. The fact that she immediately said yes to Ted, without a second thought about Max or any of that, says that she is totally in this. I loved it.

Am the the only one who had completely forgotten about Robin, Ted and the locket? Because last night's episode started and I was like...oh yeahhhhh.

I had anticipated that we would have some sort of episode like this, but my god, Ted, you don't tell a woman the night before her wedding that you're still in love with her. Robin would have been within reason to slap him.

Wenders, I think it has been very well established that Ted is a douchebag. That was just one more example.

Anybody starting to wonder if Barney and Robin will really get married, or if there's one more gut-punch ahead in exchange for the Ted-and-mother meet cute?

I absolutely hate that Ted was chosen as the central character, but I was a big fan of his rant about love to Jeanette on the bridge. It felt real to me and pulled at my heart strings. Anyone else share this sentiment?

"Actually, there is a word for that. It’s love. I’m in love with her, okay? If you’re looking for the word that means caring about someone beyond all rationality and wanting them to have everything they want no matter how much it destroys you, it’s love. And when you love someone you just, you…you don’t stop, ever. Even when people roll their eyes, and call you crazy. Even then. Especially then. You just– you don’t give up. Because if I could just give up…if I could just, you know, take the whole world’s advice and– and move on and find someone else, that wouldn’t be love. That would be… that would be some other disposable thing that is not worth fighting for. But I– that is not what this is."

Anything is possible. But Barney was wearing a wedding ring in the recently-aired flash forward scene about his job.

I hope that Ted left that part out when he was telling this story to his kids.

I loved that he was telling that to Jeanette, who likely saw it was justification for every crazy thing she has done.

Including responding to all of that by telling Ted they should get back together.

Given how little time there is left and that we know Ted ends up with someone else, I don't see how it's even possible for Barney and Robin not to get married. The producers do seem to care what their fans think, and fans would hate them forever for that.

That and we already see Ted looking longingly at the mother while she's playing bass at the reception. If Barney and Robin don't go through with the wedding, I don't know how that scene is possible. I believe there is going to be one more blow up — where Ted has to convince them both this is a good idea — to get Ted to run to the train station, where I believe, he finally meets the mother.
