Jameis Winston in trouble? (This time for stealing crab legs?)

Well, Howard and Webber were named in a sexual assault complaint when both were Washington Bullets, although the charge was thrown out.

 

He was the Little Lord Fauntleroy of the FSU teams in the mid-90s. He probably never knew where the free stuff was getting handed out.

 

I must have missed the part where Winston was prosecuted, tried and convicted of rape.
The investigation was unquestionably a cluster fuck but that wasn't his problem. Chargers weren't pressed. They won't be pressed. Therefore, he legally hasn't been convicted of anything to do with sexual assault.
I hope Cyrus' legal rights are protected a bit more if he gets in trouble than he believes Winston is entitled to.
We may never know what actually happened, but come on, we're supposed to be journalists here and stick to the facts or stick to what we know. Now, is Winston a bit of a phony? Yeah, it seems that way.

 

When your lawyer, coaches and school officials fail to investigate, cover up, and obstruct a rape allegation, it is no surprise then that the court of public opinion, if not a court of law, finds you to be guilty.

 

Mel Kiper sounded like a spoiling parent the other day when he said, "Winston has to know, if he makes ONE MORE MISTAKE..."

Just for comparison's sake, despite much evidence to the contrary, former Nazi death camp guard John Demjanjuk died without a criminal record. You could look it up.

The court of public opinion in the deep South about 50 years ago used to take care of the guilt or innocence issue. Pretty much batted 1.000 on the guilt part.
