Yeah. But we don't know how those players pan out and we REALLY don't know if the Browns can run an entire organization pointed toward winning. On the last question, the smart money is on "no."

Speaking of things that are "round," that's his mom on the right.

Agreed. Having Joe Hadan and Donte Whitner is a pretty solid start to
Defensive backfield. They have their LT and 2 pro bowl receivers.

They also got Bufaalo's first next year. That is why they did their little dance of trades.

Jerrah was damned if he did and damned if he didn't regarding the draft.

Draft Manziel and have everyone laugh at you.
Don't draft Manziel and have everyone laugh at you.

FTR, I didn't like the pick. I know there are other rounds, but I would've preferred defense obviously since they were a shitshow last year.

However, I didn't like the Tyron Smith pick in 2011 and he's doing just fine. Hope Martin is that good as well.

It's a shame there aren't additional rounds so teams can address other needs.

Here's the Lewan problem: They may have MORE than filled out their offensive line.

They already scooped up Michael Oher. That really leaves left tackle as the only place Lewan can go, and Michael Roos isn't exactly over the hill yet. He's making a cool $6 mil in 2014.

    So where does Lewan go?

    Taylor Lewan's mom.

Doesn't look like Pops is around.

    I'm thinking Stifler here.

Bridgewater to Minnesota is great for everyone involved. That team has more talent than last year's record indicated, defenses will have to put 8 men in the box to stop AP, which means Teddy won't be running for his life every play. Norv Turner is as good of an OC as a young QB could hope for. Watched a lot of Bridgewater in college, he scans the field well, doesn't just stare down first guy and force a throw or take off running. Best QB in the draft by a mile. If the night ended with Bridgewater undrafted Houston would have grabbed him with the 1st pick of the 2nd Round and had the kind of draft people talk about for years. And by taking Bridgewater in the first round, Minnesota gets a fifth year option on him that wouldn't be available if he had been drafted in the second round. Great move all around.

Bortles at 3 was stupid. This is the kind of pick most teams figured out about 3-5 years ago you just don't make. Not good enough to justify pick at 3, could have gotten more talent (Watkins, Mack) or more picks in a trade. And their OL sucks, so he'll be running for his life, if he plays.

All of Cleveland's moves were good. Got a first round pick for next year from a team (Buffalo) that will probably have a bad year. Got the QB they needed.

I don't like what Buffalo did. A first round pick next year to use this year's first round pick on a WR? Watkins is good, but he'd have to be amazing to justify that. How many WR currently in the league would you give up two high first round picks for?

Oakland must have been thrilled Mack was still on the board at 5.

Didn't like San Francisco's pick at 30. When Colin Kaepernick's first contract runs out, they are going to have to hand him a ton of money. He's not worth it, and they'll have to cut a bunch of defensive guys to pay him. I would have loved a QB here to light a fire under Kaepernick and/or replace him at the end of the year if it didn't work. (This is also the strategy the Bengals should have used, only Dalton is so bad they could have just started the QB would have drafted on Day 1. I think Cincy might have done that if Manziel was on the board, Cleveland must have thought someone was about to grab him between 22 and 29 for them to trade back up). If SF thinks they got a guy who can help now, fine. But I don't think they did.

Love what the Rams did. Got two top 10 talents. Donald was a steal at 13 and will make a great pass rush even better. (I don't remember a time a division was a good as the NFC West is right now, top to bottom).

Loved the stat on NFL Network where Seattle under GM John Schneider has traded down like 17 times in 5 years or something. Guy is running a clinic.

Boy, there are so many people around the Internet who love oddball bloviation about the draft, but this could be the winner.

Let's see ... you're anticipating losing a lot of defensive talent, so naturally the response would be to spend a first-round pick on what you envision as a career bench-warmer at quarterback. And you're doing that to "light a fire" under a player who needs no fire lit under him; his physical condition alone should be an indication that he is committed. But, of course, he is a Black Quarterback so he will never have the grit or scrappiness of a McCown type. And, the tattoos!

By all means the play here was for the 49ers to signal an end to the era of the quarterback whose first two seasons as a starter have produced a Super Bowl appearance and another very near-miss, and a quarterback whose financial future they control at a bargain price if a long-term deal isn't struck now.

Fucking genius, man. You should apply for the GM job.

The Kaepernick hate is so ridiculous. For the Niners to waste a 1st on a QB when they were the second best team in football last year and second best by a very small margin would be the supidest draft move in years.
