I don't watch a lot of these shows, so I may be way off, but no way 6 people were better Supporting Actors in a Drama this year than Dean Norris on Breaking Bad or Michael Kenneth Williams on Boardwalk Empire.

Interesting that Fargo is in the miniseries category when it has the same number of episodes (10) as Game of Thrones, and more than Breaking Bad (8 ) or Downton Abbey (7), all of which were in the regular drama series category.

Also, it's crap that Downton Abbey and House of Cards got nominated as outstanding series over The Americans (among others). Both had very average years (though they continue to be very well-acted).

McConaughey vs. Cranston should be the most interesting race.

Hell, in theory, anyone nominated in that category would be a solid choice. I would go with McConaughey, but that's just me.

    Better link, more categories.

Smart move by Orange is the New Black to put a lot of their actresses in the Guest Actress category.
    Things I liked:
    Breaking Bad/Cranston/Paul/Gunn
    Orange is the New Black
    Allison Janney Supporting Actress Comedy
    Kate Mulgrew Supporting Actress Comedy
    Uzo Aduba Guest Actress Comedy
    Amazing Race: Best Reality Show
Girls not getting nominated for much of anything.

    Things I don't like:
How did Tatiana Maslany not get nominated?
See Dean Norris and Michael Kenneth Williams above
Jeff Daniels getting nominated (like the performer, hate the role/show). Ditto Jane Fonda's nomination, except for the part about liking the performer.

Note: edited to change Jeff Bridges to Jeff Daniels, an apathetic mistake that pretty well symbolizes my feelings about that show.

Is Helen Hunt the only other actor to win an Oscar and an Emmy in the same year?

Daniels, not Bridges. A mistake made by almost everybody. :D

Can't believe The Americans was shut out of the acting awards. I thought that they should have had 3 nominations.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine should have gotten the nod over Silicon Valley.

I wouldn't have minded some Treme acting love in the miniseries category. Wendell Pierce and Khandi Alexander were both excellent again.

How does Michelle Dockery get a nomination?

Agreed, especially Annet Mahendru for supporting actress. Only nom I see is Margo Martindale (Claudia) for best guest actress.

I think that she could have been nominated, especially above the two Downton actresses, but I was thinking of Noah Emmerich
