Mike Florio is wondering if Terry Bradshaw is still dead.

I got it. I just didn't find it funny. Just your typical trolling.

SnarkShark asks if I am kidding.

You reply no, but knew that I was kidding?

How does that make any sense?

Didn't see it as "kidding" so much as stirring up shit.

One of those things I let the newsies handle. But in talking off the record to a friend in law enforcement, I suspect there was a debate over whether the person was brain dead or not.

I'll only say if your one source is the kid's coach, unless that coach is also the kid's dad or a licensed medical professional, you may want to get a second one before you run with it.

Is the coach dead or alive today?

Agreed. A good editor would want a second source on any story of this type.

  10. Sadly, he did die later.

So, like our Nelson Mandela is dead thread(s), the paper wasn't wrong, they were just premature.

That is incorrect. When the story was published, it was wrong.
