    A sports editor at a decent-sized paper who works 60-70 hours a week?

    I thought those hours were reserved for non-management.

    Sounds like a babysitting job. Does this newspaper have a staff of kids fresh out of college like so many do these days? Then I get the hand-holding that is apparently a big part of the job. As a pro with 30-plus years of experience, I would resent constantly having someone's nose in the middle of my work. Most great sports writers operate with some freedom and autonomy.
