Lena Dunham ‘Raped by a Republican’ Story in Bestseller Collapses Under Scrutiny

One of nice features of new board policy is pictures of Lena Dunham
probably fit the criteria for posting link instead of actual photo.

 

I don't know much about her and I don't watch her show. Is she outspoken politically, or is the animosity just because she's become a feminist icon for being frank about sex ... does that cover it?

 

All of these.

1. Hipster liberal
2. Outspoken about women's rights
3. Openly critical of GOP
4. Created show that is popular with urban hipsters and a little overrated and definitely narcissistic
5. She's a woman who is smart, but can be annoying
6. Not attractive enough
7. Constantly naked
8. Has loud opinions, if only sort of informed
9. Is constantly being overly praised for her bravery/honesty
10. Very frank about sex in a way that is meant to kind of make you uncomfortable, especially if you're even slightly prudish

 

I've heard that most intelligent people don't even know who she is.

 

Count me in as someone that had never heard of Lena Dunham until I clicked on this thread.

 

8 & 9 seem like the biggest factors.

 

Insightful post DD. Thx for posting. To me Dunham seems like a cruder
version of Oprah when she first came on the scene. In fact Dunham
may be this generation's Oprah.

Lena Dunham is everything a millennial is supposed to be, to people who don't like millennials.

I bet her birthday parties are off the hook.

 

Her weight doesn't even make the top 10 list of reasons she is an unattractive person.
