Mods can nuke the thread if they want. I understand that certain posters are interested in making this thread political because they don't like the way the report reflects upon the previous administration.

The bottom line is that political affiliations have very little to do with what CIA did to those detainees, and I think it's sad that people would rather dismiss it because of politics rather than examine what happened.

Stick your heads in the sand and tell yourselves America is beyond reproach if you want. Maybe a marathon of '24' is all I need to convince me that what CIA did was justified.

More or less reprehensible than beheading? Hard to judge where liberals stand on stuff like that.

Again, I defer to former GOP presidential candidate John McCain:

I'm not going to get into my opinions on the matter, but:

CIA officials allegedly lied to the White House, to Congress, and to their peers, and when they weren't lying TO the White House, they were being told BY the White House to lie to the Secretary of State? And, 26 of the 119 detainees at Gitmo were held by accident?

Sounds like they were running a tight ship.

Wow. I'm always the last to find out. Do we know how feels about Lena Dunham?

If we're beheading people, we should stop doing that, too.

First let me say I am sickened and outraged by the CIA report and as far as Lena
Dunham it seems like Jeff is fine with her as long as nude photos of her are posted as a link.

It's a fluid situation and if thinking of posting a picture I would phone ahead for a ruling.

First let me say I am heartbroken, sickened , etc etc . Dick Whitman has implied that the
McCaskey family is behind the torture.
