Roethlisberger hurt while throwing a touchdown pass to Antonio Brown. Before getting the pass off, a Chiefs defender who was engaged stuck his leg out to trip Roethlisberger. No call. Roethlisberger maintains his feet and gets the throw off. He limped off, but has been taken to the locker room. Looks like a hyperextended knee. Gradkowski warming up.

Pittsburgh up, 17-6, but a full quarter to play. Obviously, the Steelers are screwed if it turns out to be serious.

Just a horrible taunting call on the Steelers, but fuck them.

Wow. Just an awful taunting call in Pittsburgh. The Steelers make a stop on third-and-17 deep in Chiefs territory after a one-yard gain. William Gay stands near his teammate, who made the tackle, with his arms folded. He was NOT near the KC player. Taunting call gives the Chiefs and automatic first down and now they are driving. Absolute disgrace.

Glad you agree, JC. That is a horrible call that could turn the game. Just inexcusable.

Chiefs within a score, 17-9. after receiving three points as a gift from the officials.

And for the goofballs on this site who mistakenly claim to know when I'm angry, yes, this is one time you would be right. There really is no excuse for making that call against Pittsburgh. Hell, the Chiefs' receiver hadn't even looked up yet. The worst part is one of the Chiefs stuck a finger in a Steelers' defender's face after a close play earlier in the game with no call.

    Man, the Panthers are bad.
And the Texans would have put this one away if they could score and TDs.

I survived Tebow, but this probably breaks me.

In as pure Jets a sequence as could be imagined, down 17-16, they get a pick on Brady. Geno takes a 10-yard sack on third down and the 52-yard field goal try doesn't come close. Pats can't lose even when they suck, which they have for much of this game.

Another blown call, this one in Pittsburgh's favor. Tamba Hali jumps offsides, causing Pittsburgh guard Ramon Foster to break out of his stance just before the snap. Should have blown the whistle and just a five-yard penalty on KC, but the crew allows the play to continue and Roethlisberger throws deep to Antonio Brown. Play draws a pass interference call.

Pittsburgh offense gets the three points back with a nice drive, but personal foul on the Steelers should give the Chiefs great field position. Absolutely should have been offsetting penalties. The Chiefs shoved a lineman into the holder well after the field goal was made. That said, Foster has to keep his head there and not hurt his team.

Just a horribly officiated game all the way around.

    Poor, poor Steelers.

Posts like that just make me want to add more to the thread. The call led to the Chiefs getting the ball at midfield on a short kickoff.

Very close call on a near fumble by Smith that would have clinched the game for Pittsburgh. Not sure they got that one right, either, but it was a tough call.

Interesting spot. Steelers lead the Chiefs, 20-9, with 1:46 remaining. KC just used its final time out and faces a fourth-and-short inside the Pittsburgh 10. Reid chooses to go for the field goal, as KC needs a field goal and a touchdown with two-point conversion to tie.

Field goal is good. Chiefs trail, 20-12, with the on-side kick to come.
