According to an NFC rep who talked with our reporter yesterday, because of tiebreaking scenarios and such, only Arizona or Seattle can be No. 5 seed. This is barring any tie games on Sunday.

The fact that nfl.com currently has the Packers as the "projected" No. 5 seed (if the season were over now) doesn't exactly make the above statement very clear.

Seattle would win the tiebreak with GB because of head to head. I'm not sure how Arizona has the tiebreak over GB.

Arizona wins that tiebreaker by going all the way down to "strength of victory."

Of course, the Packers ending up as a wild card in the first place would mean losing to the Lions at Lambeau for the first time since 1991.

    Very true on the injury.

Yet relying on multiple interceptions and game-busting plays on special teams doesn't a post-season run make.

I fully expect the Bengals to blow it because of taunting plays or a late hit at the worst time.

This, this, a million times this.

Kirkpatrick, Nelson, and Stripclub Jones may start beating the shit out of The Red Rocket on the sideline when he goes 6-23, 67 yds, 3 INT.

I did not realize that the mature and ever present "Adam" Jones was the former 'Stripclub Jones" Adam Jones is a team leader and
role model for the younger fella's. I know because that's what the announcers said.;)

    Neither did I.

I kept hearing "Adam Jones" on that kick return and I was thinking, "Pacman?!?"

Then once he got that taunting penalty, I thought "these knuckleheads won't be able to keep their shit together to win four straight in the playoffs."

Ten minutes later, Tirico pointed out it was another player, not PacMan, with the taunt.

These idiots won't win 1 in the playoffs, let alone 4.
    And then.......

Regarding the Bengals, the biggest problem Dalton has is he is terrible at throwing deep balls. His screen passes and shorter routes were mostly good, but any time he tried to go over the top, the pass was awful. He's lucky he didn't have more than one pass picked off.

And since we are officially done with Week 16 games, I'll make a couple of predictions.

    * Steelers win because Roethlisberger can throw it over the top (especially with Antonio Brown around) and Dalton can't.
    * Packers wrap up the NFC North because Rodgers is just pissed off at the Lions in general.
    * Panthers beat the Falcons because nobody expects that to happen.
    * Chargers do enough against the Chiefs to secure a wild card berth.
