Is this the same job that was posted here several weeks back or another opening?

I can't imagine how many part-timers it would take to take prep calls/emails for 150+ high schools.

I've seen the paper many times. They don't actually run results for all 150 schools. The paper is the largest in about a 500-mile radius, so that gives them plenty of space to go find good stories in rural areas. Hard to see which actually covers more schools, the Gazette or the Great Falls Tribune.

Pretty much what I figured. I wonder how far out of Billings they actually go for regular game coverage.

I've corresponded with this crew quite a bit throughout the years. They run a tight ship and there would be the opportunity to cover some outstanding small colleges (Frontier Conference). Also, Montana's prep scene is criminally underrated. While I don't know their sports editor, he has a great background and their ASE is a good dude who seems easy to work with. The Gazette is a good shop too. They cover basically the entire state of Montana when it comes down to it and even dip into Wyoming.
