    Well, then he got his money's worth. If you're going to go public with a handwritten note, you need good penmanship so you don't embarrass yourself.

    Now that you mention it, what would the reaction be if someone discovered that he got someone else to write it for him because he has bad handwriting? Headlines?

    This is awful penmanship. All his "t"s are "b" with a line through them and he wanders back forth from print to cursive four or five times.

    Plus the whole body of the letter slants upward toward the right corner of the page, giving you the false impression that his skills are going up instead of downhill.
