    1. PK is probably a great guy and good person. Easy enough to believe.
    2. That tweet was amazingly tone deaf.

I don't have kids -- and have never lost one for 3 minutes in a mall -- yet somehow I'm still able to feel horribly for the Maisel family.

That was an embarrassing tweet and he deserves to be called out for it, no matter how good of a guy he almost certainly is.

And the downside to just letting it go without calling him out for it is . . . what exactly?

That's cool - yours is an opinion I always respect (even when it is wrong!)

Like many others, I check for news on this situation several times a day. Good news can still happen.

PK is a great guy, but Sunshine nailed it with the tonedeaf comment.

PK means well, but he says and tweets some of the most idiotic shit ever.

Which has everything to do with the fact that he deserves every pummeling he gets.

I'm going to do a crazy threadjack here and mention Ivan Maisel's missing son on a thread about Ivan Maisel's missing son. Maisel wrote an update:

"We want to thank the Rochester Police Department and other local law enforcement agencies for their heroic work in severe conditions. While they have urged us not to leap to any conclusions about Max's fate, logic indicates that it will not end well. We continue to be buoyed by the love and support of friends and family from across the country."

Yeah. It get harder and harder to stay optimistic.

But we have to hope for the best. Hard to do so.

And, yes, that was absolutely tone deaf by PK and absolutely needed to be called out for it.

Absolutely? That is your opinion, and opinions are not absolutes.

    Really? Why?

What horrible consequences come from taking a statement of sympathy, however "tone deaf," as it was intended and leaving it at that?

    Thanks, LTL.

Can't imagine how painful that must have been for Ivan to write.
