High school league just announced new section lines. Big change for volleyball team. Volleyball coach is also basketball coach. AD "disappointed in us for shifting the focus of players/coaches away from basketball section championship three days away to focus on something that will happen in five months."

According to Twitter tonight, a player we cover had 20 steals in tonight's section semifinal. This was the school's basketball twitter account. When coach called in stats, somehow the steal total magically dropped to only 11 (and the team had 19 total in the game)

Top division state hockey tournament game is a rivalry game between conference foes Tech and Central. The game is played in a D1 college rink so the fan bases are specifically separated to different sides. A smartass Tech kid walks around the arena, gets right behind the Central students, and starts chanting "Let's go Tech." The state athletic association director apparently runs over and demand the kid be escorted out of the rink in handcuffs.

Any other bad state association stories this tournament season?

The sister of a boys' basketball coach was arrested during the district tournament a few weeks ago. The sister just so happens to be one of the best female players to come through this area, and her brother's team was playing her alma mater.

Dear dimwit media member. Don't do this. (Note: not referring to Geoff, here)

There's a way to ask that question. That is not it.
I'm guessing it probably took him about a minute and a half to spit it out, too, which is always fun when it's late and you know there's only time for about five questions from the entire room.

Could be both, or a fanboi who wrangled a pass somehow.

He said in an earlier tweet it was by a "San Diego broadcast guy." Not sure if that means radio or local TV sports reporter.

Probably a TeeVee anchor. Those guys can't talk for spit without a TelePrompter in front of them. :)

Dear tennis coaches: Is it that difficult to include first and last names from both teams? Apparently so, or I wouldn't be posting this.
