Is that Gilda Radner doing Barbara Walters saying Alexandria?

For TWD, that's 10 episodes of story development right there.
They'd never make a single episode that interesting.

I have to imagine that they'll reveal what the W is; that's been a thing for most of this season.
They'll also have to resolve Rick's "trial". If there's a battle at the end, a lot of this stuff could happen. Daryl coming back could be what leads to the battle (meaning, he could accidentally draw whoever's carving W's into Alexandria).

I hope it's better than you expect it to be.

I expect some progress with the Rick storyline.
I expect no progress on Morgan or "W" storylines.

    It's a 90-minute finale. I'm sure we'll get some of both.

We're 19 episodes into a 20-episode season with no progress yet.

Where are you getting 20 episodes? It's 16.

My bad. I was thinking they broke them up 10 and 10, but it's eight and eight.
The point is the same, though. They haven't moved the Morgan or W storylines all season.
I guess the Ws are becoming more frequent and obvious.
But I completely expect to get an episode about Rick and a tease about the Ws for next season.
Maybe Morgan shows up and saves Rick somehow? Maybe but I doubt it.

dude has been able to survive the whole time on his own. Yeah, he went nuts, but he's doing something right.

Nothing is so great about Morgan. It has just been a weird element that they teased him twice in the first few episodes and then nothing has materialized since then.

Like the Ws and the marked trees around Gabriel's church (which master tracker Darrell never noticed), we get glimpses of things but because of the show's glacial pacing we are left we get no development.
