    They have to shout in order to get attention.

    And in five years, they'll build up to another huge announcement, which will be that they will go to all lowercase letters.

    You know, after the infamous USA Today blue balls memo, I thought the company couldn't have sunk any lower.

    Looks like I was wrong.

    At least the Blue Ball Three were fired for a reason, without regard to whether it was a good reason (it was not). The crap that has gone down since then, both there and in the local newsrooms, makes that incident seem positively quaint.

    What's especially funny about that video is the Awesome song is from The Lego Movie where mindless plastic drones who obey orders are prized and anyone with an original thought is destroyed. Good going, Gannett honchos! Way to be you!

    I was referring to what is alternately called the Blue Balls memo and the Cool Balls memo, which was when USA Today did their redesign with the balls, and the one marketing idiot produced this gem.
