Thought it was kind of funny the two times I've covered NBA games in New Orleans the food at the arena has been awful. Bland hot dogs and the like both times in one of the great food cities.

What's you expect, shrimp etoufee? :)

One of the worst days I ever spent was the hour it took me to drive through Dallas.

I've always wondered what people see in shrimp etouffé. Why not crawfish?

You can get either one, but shrimp are easier to come by in most places. Never had either, I don't believe, though I do love me some Cajun food.

Leave the shrimp. Take the crawfish.

I'm familiar. I make a better etouffeé than most (although I can't spell it), and I can't understand for the life of me why anyone would choose shrimp over crawfish in that dish. And believe me, I love shrimp. In the past two weeks, we've eaten 10 pounds of royal reds.

Imagine it's just availability. Aren't crawfish tough to find and only available certain times? I'll have to try the crawfish etouffee. And I can't spell it either.

Yeah, there's a short season. Generally mid spring through mid summer.

Sorry, but if you're grabbing dinner at the New Orleans Arena, you're doing it wrong.

Shitty food at NBA arenas. Weird!

Baton Rouge kinda sucks when it's not an LSU game day. The traffic there is particularly crappy for a city that's not overly large.
