Commercials you like

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but I love the Liberty Mutual ad with the young woman who talks about her car named "Brad", and how she loved "Brad" and then totaled "him".

She sounds like such a psycho, but it's great.

I also just saw an ad for Universal Technical Institute, one of those schools that teach about mechanics and stuff. They kept calling it UTI.

I pointed out to my son that UTI also stood for urinary tract infection.

 

I'm still amazed that Acura hasn't followed up on the Drive Like a Boss masterpiece.

 

Oh my. She is one of the most annoying people on TV. HATED IT!

 

For some reason this ad always makes JR and I laugh (although I think the 30 second version is actually funnier).

 

Saw this for the first time tonight. Two guys at Buffalo Wild Wings complain to the waitress about karate being on the TV. She calls out to a guy at the next table ... and it's William Zabka. Gotta like William Zabka.

You have to respect actors who understand and accept their role in pop culture, even if it's for a part they did 30 years ago. A few years ago, I read something about the guy who played Biff in Back to the Future and it said he was a touring comic and after his show, he refused to sign anything related to Back to the Future. I think it's a similar situation with the guy who played Skippy on Family Ties.

 

Same goes for the kid that plays Anakan Skywalker in Star Wars Ep. 1, but who the hell would care to ask him to sign anything anyway? LOL

 

Well, anyone associated with anything Star Wars or Star Trek could make a pretty good living just doing Comic-Cons and signings... Not the perfect career, but it beats lifting shit.

 

One of the rare commercials that I like, and only because the guy is such a simpleton with an incredibly goofy look on his face:
