Yeah, almost had to use that for NBA game last night. But the majority of it is useless, old news. Give me real running gamer after each quarter so I can actually use it. Found some decent stuff on LeBron's cut, but usually it's just "James had 16 through three quarters" or some nonsense. Great.

AP ain't great, but I've come to know over the last year and a half it beats the alternative.

Could not imagine not having it, as much as we bitch about it. I don't mind most of their minor issues, but NewsNow and TheLatest are just silly.

I see the value of the Latest for online outlets, my complaint was strictly from a print POV. I'm just a little disappointed that I can't get much more than a 1st write thru gamer for the NBA Finals by 1230 am Eastern

NewsNow comes in handy when we're up against the clock and don't want to wait for them to update the roundups. I can just pull the NN, tweak the lead and add it as a capsule to the roundup from earlier games. If I'm really up against the clock, I'll grab the final box score from the espn site and write my own capsule instead of waiting for the NN to move on the wire.

It does often come in handy. But if you need more than three grafs ... Gah! Why don't they just send the first 8-10 inches like they did for eons?

The UFC write up from yesterday is awful. Must have been written in Spanish and translated? But that doesn't explain the * in place of the ' I'm.
Used the word "wore" instead of "wear", called Strikeforce "strikeout" ... things like that.

Tribune News Service (formerly McClatchy) is just about worthless.

No art from the College World Series, and I doubt we'll get art from the Oakland games in the NBA Finals either since we didn't from Games 1 & 2. (I guarantee you AP is at both places shooting.)

Most of the time it's a coin flip as to whether you'll get anything from the local pro and college teams playing at home. It makes it almost impossible to plan your front in advance.

I'm in a shop without it -- and I miss it dearly. The alternative sucks.

Carey Price is good but he's not that good.

Photog struggling with the concept of "form" left to right, too: Lindsay trophy is not next to last, etc.

It's pretty impressive for a goaltender to win the Ross Trophy. I'm not sure that's been done since the simulation-shortened season of '95 when Chris Osgood did it on my Sega Genesis. Because I was bored.
