As for Rachel McAdams looking at the porn site, she definitely clicked on a screen showing performers not escorts.
Could be personal interest; could be related to her sister's career choice.

Probably a little of both. But the former seems to be gaining lots of traction. God bless.

Colin Farrell is listed in being in 8 episodes of True Detectives this season as per imdb, so I don't think he's dead.

Could be a misdirect. I'd be disappointed if he's still around though - that feels like a cheap trick you'd see on a network drama, to preserve a popular lead.

    Agree totally.

I said to my wife that, if they were going to kill him, Raven dude would have shot him in the head. In fact, it makes virtually zero sense that he didn't shoot Ray in the face.

What are the chances he's in them in some kind of 'flashback' capacity exploring Vaughn's character's relationship with the city manager and all that but that he's also "dead" in the context of the present day, the way season on ebbed between the past and present? Seems doubtful but its a theory

Nah, Ray lives. A few shots in trailers showed him, Ani and Paul involved with a raid. Unless he's a ghost. Ghost Cop. He haunts the bad guys and delivers justice from the grave.

How could he possibly survive that? I'm not saying he won't. There's certainly enough to make us believe he lives. But how in the blue fuck are they going to explain this? Two shotgun blasts, one from point blank range. Is there a vest strong enough to protect him from that?

I would absolutely sign up for a season of HBO's Ghost Cop. done. Just shut up and take my money.

On another board I'm on, the theory is floated that it's just rock salt, a la Kill Bill, and the incident is meant as a warning for him to stop being so aggressive in his investigation. Again though, to me that's more of a cheap way out of him dying, whereas actually killing off your lead (well, one them) after two episodes would be the more daring decision.
