    Not sure what that means, YF. She wants to be a filmmaker, so she is working at the lowest level in the industry.

    Should she intern on a remake of Birth of a Nation to round out her experiences or something?

    No, no. It's perfect. The President, at the time, was a fan of Birth of a Nation, and screened it at the White House. If his daughter had been an aspiring film maker, it's just the kind of film she would have interned on.

    It's funny, though, that when I worked at the Gannett paper, they didn't pay their interns, other than with college credit, and the paper did kinda treat them like new employees. I wonder if they still do that.

    Not where I worked. TV was always big on free interns, though.
