America: You may now go back to your indifference about soccer.

Japan had one shot on goal. Someone find me the hockey game with one SOG.

Correction: Han Solo had one save.

Give US a reason to watch and we will care. If it says USA on the front, Americans will watch team handball.

Fantastic match by the US. Those set pieces were remarkable.

As long as Japan makes better minivans for soccer moms than the U.S. does, they'll be formidable in women's soccer.

The first goal was one of the prettiest corners I've ever seen. Makes me wonder why more teams don't do set plays like that on corners. Guess easier said than done.

Yeah, it was a thing of beauty. You try that 50 times, it might work that well once.

I halfway think Holiday's volley was the best goal of the match. But, really, they were all top shelf - except Japan's second.

Japan hasn't gotten that obliterated since the last time Godzilla got grumpy.

It was a pretty horrendous defensive failure by Japan. It was pretty, but the ball should never, ever get through that deep on the ground.

Happened again on the free kick a few minutes later, too.

Saw a tweet earlier from a reporter at the match the USWNT drew up that corner yesterday, practiced a few times and decided to try it.
