The reason I ask is comparing a rape joke to masturbation jokes is not apt.

The bottom line is it's easy to roll one's eyes at someone being upset by a "dick joke" or even a "jerk-off joke" in a Post headline. It's my humble opinion it's quite another thing to be a little dismayed by a rape joke. Hard to fault anyone for that, I think, no matter who published it. Yes, even the Post.
To be clear, I'm not losing sleep over this or demanding the Post issue an apology. But I think it's perfectly OK for people to be a little turned off by the headline, even more so than the Post's usual shenanigans.

how do you know it's intended as a rape joke? maybe they think it will be consensual and Jared will enjoy a foot long.

It had less to do with objecting to prison rape jokes and more to do with objecting to any other kind of joke on a thread in which child pornography jokes were being made and lauded. I believe I was the first person to call you on it, and my "ridicule," as you put it, had nothing to do with the content of the joke you were objecting to, merely the timing and placement of your objection.
