Digital Content Assistant - FOX Sports North/Wisconsin

Note: This position will be in Minneapolis. Video editing skills a must (see below). Knowledge of the area teams as well as being social-media savvy also important. Writing skills (re-writing press releases, original content) a definite plus. PM with any questions. Link to apply is at the end of this post.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the production of digital initiatives
• Work with other departments, coordinating content and updates to social platforms and web
• Participate in digital productions, as assigned
• Participate in meetings and conference calls related to productions
• Edit video and web site content, publishing content on web sites and social media platforms, as well as write, produce, edit and formulate ideas for content and assist in strategic planning
• Assist Digital Content Manager as needed on all digital initiatives, productions, events, pre-game shows, specials, and news

Qualifications

• Must have 2-4 years of digital production experience with news, marketing, or video background
• Knowledge of current web trends and tools is essential, some TV programming or sports experience a plus
• Strong digital technological skills as well as communication skills, both verbal and written
• Knowledge of video editing systems (Avid, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere), social media trends, experience with Photoshop, HTML and web design
• Experience with AP Style is a plus, but not required
• Must be self-directing, self-motivating, and able to work with a diverse group of people
• Must be able to handle a large number of variables in the daily news workflow, including short deadlines
• Knowledge of Adobe Bundle
• General sports knowledge
• Ability to perform job efficiently and effectively without supervision and under pressure
• Will require night and/or weekend hours
