Misleading? As in CBS should be held to a higher standard than the leading Republican Presidential aspirant?

You don't think that headline is misleading? Did you read the story? Why not just say, "Donald Trump OK with killing journalists" and get even more clicks?

    Yes, it's definitely misleading. Terrible.

I hope you don't write headlines (or anything, for that matter), if you don't think it's misleading.

Of COURSE the Miss Universe Pageant was until recently a Donald Trump property.

I can't believe I'm being put in the position of defending Trump, but at the same time, I can't believe how badly media outlets have been irresponsibly misrepresenting what was said in that interview today. Here's what Trump actually said:

"It would be a terrible thing if it were true, but I have never seen any information or any proof that he killed reporters," Trump told ABC News' George Stephanopoulos in an interview that aired Sunday. "You're just saying, he killed reporters. You and other people tell me he killed reporters. I don't know that he killed reporters. I haven't seen it. If he did, I think it's despicable. I think it would be horrible. But you're making these accusations and I don't -- I don't see any proof."

I'm sorry, but that's an entirely reasonable position. He indicates that he would condemn it IF true, but would simply like to see the evidence/proof first. For CBS to characterize that position as "defending Putin's record on killing journalists" is just outrageously unprofessional, amateurish and ....well, flat out dishonest.

Who cares what Trump "actually said?" Whatever it was, was complete bullshit pulled completely out of his ass, and he'll pull something else completely different out of his ass tomorrow. He'll get in front of a raving teabag mob that thinks it's just groovy to kill reporters and he'll say Putin is "awesome" for killing reporters and "there are a bunch here we ought to look into killing."

Then he'll go back to jerking off over pictures of his daughter.

All of this. Other than Starman, I hate Trump as much as anyone, but he said nothing remotely defending his record on killing people.

That is fucking embarrassing, and they have no one to blame but themselves for giving the troglodytes ammunition to claim everyone is lying to them and only Trump is telling the truth.

This kind of bullshit, "truthy" headline seems to occur about once a week somewhere. This is like when Ben Carson "admitted" to "fabricating" his West Point admission. That was bad, because it helped sink the guy's campaign.
