What are the odds Woody Allen makes a movie about ol' Tyler?

    He was brilliant!*

(As long as you ignore all the hateful shit he said, wrote and implied about gays and minorities.)

I don't believe he was racist, but I do believe his sense of Catholicism, a deeply flawed religion, wrongly colored his viewpoints on gay rights. I'd like to see the court become more religiously diverse.

In addition to a little religious diversity, I'd like to see a candidate with some political experience, which is something that has been missing from the court since Sandra Day O'Connor's retirement.

Amy Klobuchar's name is being tossed around. I could easily get behind her appointment.

"Jiggery pokery" wasn't the last opinion he ever wrote, was it?

Big deal. That's the same thing you said after Steve McNair's death.

The Republicans never fail to let us down when they are given a chance to display their monumental hypocrisy; President Obama is on the verge of handing them yet another golden opportunity, and they will gladly snatch it. And HRC will then use the GOP's intransigence to mobilize Democratic voters who will turn out in massive numbers to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime chance to flip the SCOTUS -- particularly since SCOTUS opinions on big issues of late regularly trend overwhelmingly against the general public's wishes. McConnell's refusal to abide by the Constitution here could very well put his chamber even more in play.

The last sentence he wrote was "Mission accomplished." Not sure what opinion it's from.

He was a great, great writer. We could all actually learn from his ability to distill and make lively an argument over shit like antitrust laws and EPA regs.
