More terrific theater today during 4-hour House Oversight Committee hearing with Comey.

Chaffetz was very good at times, getting to the exact nut of the problem, and watching Comey hem and haw and squirm and writhe was something to behold.

 

Local reporter tweeting that he was taken out to the woodshed by PR person Hope Hicks for "being disrespectful" of the candidate. His transgression? Asking how Cheetos Jesus plans to win Ohio without the support of GOP stalwarts like Rob Portman. Seems someone has to inform Hicks she's not repping lipstick lines anymore. This is the big leagues. Sack up.

 

Seriously? The guy did his fucking job. Comey is the only one who comes out of this with ANY dignity.

Pretty unusual (if not unprecedented) for a law enforcement agency to hold a press conference to detail transgressions revealed in an investigation after announcing it doesn't have sufficient evidence of illegal activity to bring charges. Comey brought a lot of this on himself through his bizarre need to publicly scold HRC.
