Irrelevant. Trump is running for president, so his wife's speech at the convention is relevant. Something Obama did years ago does not justify that action.

Get back to me when Trump supporters start killing cops. If that kind of thing bothers you.

You do realized that NO polling matters whatsoever in July, right? We're not even halfway through one of the conventions. Either one could be up 15 points right now and it wouldn't mean a thing.

Check back in late August/early September. Then it matters.

Let me get this straight. A major political party in this country just nominated a guy for president of the United States at 7:15 p.m., a full 45 minutes before prime time? While the West Coast is still at work and everywhere else in broadcast TV land is watching Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy?
Is this unprecedented in the TV era? And what does that say about the party's excitement about the nominee, if anything?

The chance that that hasn't happened is pretty much zero.

You're really outdoing yourself on this. This your Oop on Ryan Braun. Congrats.

I'm not sure why we're making analogies.

We have an example, and it's clearly plagiarism.

What does it say about the skill and smarts running the Trump campaign? They don't have a clue and refuse to listen to those who do. The inmates are running the asylum, and the guards are standing outside the door letting it happen.

    I haven't defended Melania.

    I didn't raise the Obama/Patrick issue.

But if people are going to argue that wasn't plagiarism, I'm going to call bullshit.

The Dems will do the same thing.

The roll call isn't good TV.

The nominating speech and others is what matters.

    Just the opposite.

I'm not the one making tortured arguments that what Obama did is something other than a clear cut case of plagiarism.
