Aw, son of a bitch. I always enjoyed the Trib-Review when I was in Pittsburgh, especially when sports switched to a tabloid. I really enjoy the P-G as well, but the Trib gave it a run for the money.

Wonder what the digital edition will look like.

They beat The Plain Dealer to it.

Different chains, but I can see where you might think that.

Yes, Advance so desperately wants to dump the print edition of The PD. I believe the unions have stymied that. We'll see what happens when the last of those contracts is up.

  6. They have to keep it in case the Browns win the Super Bowl.

Sad and surreal. I went on a tour of PNC Park last weekend with my dad and touted Pittsburgh as one of the last two-paper cities in America. And the Trib-Review has a big advertisement inside PNC Park.

So how many 2-paper cities are left?

New York, Boston, Philly, Detroit, Los Angeles, D.C. ... where else?

Naah, they do that just to torment Ace.

The Free Press only publishes a print edition three days a week in Detroit...I think. Not sure about the others.

This would never have happened if they hadn't traded their closer.

In all seriousness, though, best of luck to those losing their jobs.
