That's why we see so many kids announce early, or take advantage of the early signing periods in sports they're offered in, to be able to enjoy their senior season.

My favorite are the double dippers -- kids who make a show of committing to a (usually) local school but still plan to "take all their visits."

Right up there with an "unofficial" visit to Local Tech and "official" visits to P5 schools.

You blame them for wanting to visit a college they won't attend, maybe drink a few beers and meet a few college girls?

No. Go. Just don't commit first.

How kids feel when they commit before senior year....

Until the player or his coach says he's going to a certain school you have nothing to report. Would you trust a high school kid without a real source like the kid? Just wait for the official tweet unless the player tells you.

And the player or his coach can say anything and then change their mind however many times until the LOI is signed.

You also have parents in the mix. Parents who might think/hope Junior will attend beloved Podunk U. So they are quick to tell a reporter that Junior is going to wear the Crimson and Clover of Podunk U. when he really has eyes on Crosstown Rival A&M.

  11. What do you do here?

    Don't believe everything you're told.
